After several days of heavy rain over the days leading up to Christmas, and Christmas Day itself, it was great to get out into the open air on such a beautiful sunny warm Boxing Day.
We had a wonderful stroll around the RSPB nature reserve at the south end of Loch Lomond, between Gartocharn and Drymen. It was popular with many walkers, with children and with dogs.
The paths were manageable and well maintained which was good for prams and those in wheel chairs.
Fantastic duck boards have been constructed across the boggier parts so our feet were dry at all times!
Down by the shore of the loch we could see Ben Lomond looming above the water on the eastern shore.
A fantastic day to be out, and such a handy spot being close to Appletree Cottage.
